• The Wednesday Food Truck Wround-up heads to a BRAND NEW SPOT at IBERIA BANK, 3700 Essen Lane (off Essen near Jefferson/I-12), slinging with our food truck amigos 5-8pm!
• One of our final (no pun intended) of the #LSU Invasion this semester for dinner on Thursday at U Club Cottages off River Road, slinging with our amigos at CURBSIDE 5-8pm!
• The always-awesome annual Hot Art, Cool Nights is THIS FRIDAY, and we’ll be posted up at Gallery Bohemia, 3477 Government St., slinging 6-10pm for all our Mid-City amigos…
• And BREAKFAST returns for one day only THIS SATURDAY at the corner of 5th and Laurel for the Varsity Sports run feat. live music, great deLicious breakfast tacos, and more, slinging for 7:30am!

And last but not least, we’re bringing back our special for the week. The lovely, the beloved, the believable… Buffalachos.

Featuring spicy buffalo chicken, freshly-diced onions and celery, house ranch and bleu cheese sauce, and bleu cheese crumbles, all atop a bed of lightly-fried lime zest sea salt tortilla chips.

After Country Roads Magazine named us one of their Favorite Things of 2013, we got word from the fine folks at Deep South Magazine who named us to their list of top 50 food trucks in the entire SOUTH!

Unbelievable, amigos… and we have nobody else to thank but you for helping to make it happen and letting us do what we do best - sling deLicious tacos. So that’s exactly what we’re gonna keep doing.

And you may have seen in a previous post, but the menu and tickets are now LIVE for the THIRD installment of our beer dinner series “The Truck, The Brewer, and The Blogger” with Chef Jay Ducote and Cupcake Genius Christina Stephens, a pop-up dinner held at the Tin Roof Brewing Company. As you can tell from the menu below, “3” is the magic number for this one amigos. Make sure you get your tickets soon, if they’re anything like the last two they’re gonna go quick!

It’s finally here amigos - a date, AND a menu for The Truck, The Brewer, and the Blogger III: 3 is a Magic Number!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 14, 2013.  This event will once again be held at the Tin Roof Brewing Company and will feature a five course beer dinner from our own Chef Aaron Brown of Taco de Paco, Chef Jay Ducote of Bite and Booze, and Cupcake Genius Christina Stephens will also be back to provide a signature cupcake for dessert.

This is going to be our third dinner at Tin Roof, and could quite possibly be the best yet (and this time, the theme revolves around the number three…).

Lots of stuff going on this week, but first we’d be remiss if we didn’t thank ALL OF YOU… every single one of you… for all the love you’d shown to Taco de Paco over the years. In February’s edition of Country Roads Magazine, over 3,000 people voted for their favorite food truck in south Louisiana. And guess who came in Numero Uno?!?

And to top things off, Country Roads went a step further to call us one of their favorite things… period… in south Louisiana and Mississippi. It’s an unbelievable honor, and something we could never attain without your support and all de Love.

So what’s next? Well, to start here are a few highlights for the week…

Join Paco and his food truck amigos THIS SATURDAY at Perkins Palms, 7248 Perkins Road (off Perkins/Essen), slinging deLicious lunch tacos 11am til 2pm!

And as you may have seen this past Saturday, we’ve got tables, benches, and seating that we’re going to start having at each and every one of our food truck events. Plus, there’s more to come (did someone say live music???)! Stay tuned…

Slow roasted pulled pork, tangy Thai slaw, and spicy sriracha sauce, topped with melted mozzarella cheese, pressed to perfection, and served in quesadilla-style wedges with a side of hoisin dipping sauce. Let that one sink in for a second amigos…

• Food Truck Fridays at the Tin Roof Brewing Company return this week, with a BLOWOUT food truck event at Baton Rouge’s own Tin Roof brewery. Good times, great food, free beer, and family friendly (just must be 21+ to drink) - plus we hear there might even be some live music out there to start the weekend off right, 5-8pm!

• The Wednesday Food Truck Wround-up is BACK at Perkins Palms, 7248 Perkins Road, one of the BEST spots for food trucks filled with some of the most loyal taco lovers in town, slinging 5-8pm!

Plus, there’s the whole issue of the special for the week that we haven’t attended to yet… re-presenting the “Bite and Barbequez” taco. The nachos were such a hit, we’re bringing back the original!

Featuring slow roasted BBQ pulled pork, Jay D’s BBQ Sauce homemade and FRESH made with local Louisiana ingredients, house-pickled jalapenos and onions, and homemade creole mustard, finished off with some fresh cilantro, all in a warm tortilla. It’s deBomb.com.

Great week ahead of us, and let’s hear a round of applause for Mother Nature finally giving us some cooler weather to make it feel like it’s supposed to in December!

Lots going on this week, so we’ll be brief. Keep in mind the Wednesday Food Truck Wround-up heads BACK to Mid-City this week, with the party happening at Calandro’s Supermarket, 4142 Government St. from 5-8pm this Wednesday night! And we’ve got some exciting new things to roll out with the Wround-ups starting first of the year, so keep an eye on our Facebook page around then for more information…

Lastly, we’ve got not one, not two, but THREE specials that we’re rockin’ all week long. And nobody will judge you for getting all three at once…

Hola amigos, and welcome back to another 75 degree week in December in Baton Rouge, Louisiana!

• The Wednesday Food Truck Wround-up heads back to a favorite spot for the food trucks in BR - French Quarter Daiquiris, 5625 Essen Lane, slinging 5-8pm! Get there early amigos, there’s definitely going to be a good crowd at this one.
• LSU amigos, we know you’re studying and prepping for finals, so we’re coming to you Thursday night and making the dinner-planning easy - posting up with our burger-slinging amigos at CURBSIDE - University Crescent Apartments, 4500 Burbank Drive, slinging 5-8pm this Thursday evening!
• Perkins/Bluebonnet/Siegen amigos - we know you’ve missed us, so we’re back for another edition of Sabine Saturday… Sabine Pool Supplies, 11358 Perkins Road (between Bluebonnet & Siegen), slinging Saturday lunch tacos 11am til 2pm!

And for your special this week, simply because we couldn’t keep enough of it on the truck last time we ran it, we re-present the “TLC Nachos” (Tin-der Loaded Chili Nachos), our newest addition to the #GourmetNachos family.

It starts with a bed of freshly-fried lime-zest, sea salt tortilla chips. Then there’s a topping of chili made with Paco’s secret recipe featuring Tin Roof “Perfect Tin Amber”. Then comes the melty, gooey cheese sauce infused with Tin Roof Blonde Ale. Then there’s a layer of red onions, some fresh cilantro, and a whole lotta love.

Oh yeah, we’re running it ALL. WEEK. LONG!
